Guests judge a hotel by its Wi-Fi speed more than you might think. Behind it, the booking, payment and camera systems must run just as reliably.
Are you facing any of these?
Wi-Fi drops in rooms and the lobby
Coverage was not surveyed floor by floor, and many devices at once cause congestion.
Guests and management systems share one network
A risk of data exposure and of affecting payments and bookings.
Overload in peak season
The system was designed for ordinary days and cannot handle sudden surges of guests.
Main scope
And more besides, depending on what fits your situation.
High-density Wi-Fi
Floor-by-floor surveys, with the number and placement of devices chosen from real conditions and managed centrally.
Guest and operations networks separated
A separate guest network, plus separate management, payment and camera networks.
Smooth roaming
Guests keep their connection as they move from room to lobby to pool.
Link redundancy
Two carriers or a failover option so bookings are not interrupted.
Cameras and access control
Integrated into the infrastructure, with safe remote access.
Multi-site management
Link sites back to headquarters by VPN, managed together.
How the system is usually organized
- A fiber backbone between buildings, and PoE switches powering Wi-Fi and cameras
- A central Wi-Fi controller, with virtual networks (SSIDs) separated by purpose
- A redundant firewall at the Internet edge
- Monitoring and early alerts during peak season
The specific architecture is set after the survey, depending on your size and current setup.
4 clear steps from the start
- SurveyMeasure coverage floor by floor and review the existing cabling.
- DesignDiagrams, equipment placement and cost estimate.
- COREIT INFRADone area by area so guests in residence are not affected.
- HandoverDocumentation and support during peak season.
Frequently asked questions
How many Wi-Fi devices does my hotel need?
The number depends on the building structure, wall materials and the number of simultaneous guests, so a real survey is needed. We do not give a number before measuring.
Will installation disturb guests who are staying?
We plan floor by floor or area by area and prefer low-occupancy hours to limit the impact.
If the Internet goes down, does the booking system stop?
The risk can be reduced with a backup connection from a second carrier or 4G/5G that switches automatically when the main line has a problem.
Is support available in peak season?
COREIT Care provides monitoring and support at the level you choose. We suggest stepping up the level before peak season.
Reference vendors and product codes for this solution
By specific need and size. Codes are for reference; COREIT fixes the model and successor versions after the survey, and can use equivalent equipment from other vendors to suit the budget.
